Caillou Wiki
Andy (Calliou, Follow Me)

Andy is a character who attends Caillou's preschool. He first appeared in the episode, Follow Me.

He is called a different child (Mrs. Martin says "Different Children") who likes to draw. He doesn't like loud noises and doesn't seem to like doing things the other kids do. Andy also tends to keep to himself and be isolated from the other children. Caillou tried to befriend him but Andy was reluctant at first. Caillou kept trying but it was hard. Finally Caillou and Andy became friends after Caillou started doing things Andy liked to do.

Follow Me hints Andy has some form of autism due to his isolation, high preference to draw, his dislike of loud noises, and being able to notice details that others tend to not see (for example, when Caillou drew a castle with him, Andy told Caillou he should add a flag because castles have flags.)

In the Caillou's New Adventures episode "Caillou and the Fire Drill", Andy got sensory overload due to the fire alarm and Caillou gave him headphones. During the recess, Miss Martin said to Caillou that he was intolerant to loud noises because of his autism, but highlighted that he could move a snail from the playground slide due to his interest on snails.
